3 Products That Create a Better Wake Surfing Experience

As most boaters know, perfecting their boat's wake can be difficult and take time away from wake surfing. Most boaters would prefer getting the boat up and running and flying across the water.

At WAKE 10, we believe that is possible. WAKE 10 understands that wake surfing should be a fun and stress-free experience. Boaters should not have to worry about leaning the wakesurfing boat one way or the other. Instead, boaters should focus on moving through the water to help wake surfers catch a gnarly wave.

Is such an experience possible? Absolutely.

WAKE 10 stands for transforming and elevating how wake surfing is done.

You can quickly smooth out and fine-tune your boat's wake through our variety of products. Keep reading to learn more about our wakesurfing tips and products.

WAKE 10's Wake Surfing Accessories

Specifically, the following products can each improve the wake surfing experience:  Each of these products can transform a surfer's wake independently or together (i.e., one of the Wakesurf Creators and the ballast bag).

Our Quick Fix Solutions

When boaters are on the lake, sometimes they run into the problem of the wake being too choppy, leaning too much the wrong way, or even being too short. To solve this problem, most boaters shuffle their passengers from one side of the boat to the other. Also, boaters may add another ballast bag to shift the boat's weight. However, these can quickly become a nuisance and sometimes not even solve the problem.

WAKE 10 products can serve as quick fixes — we fix the problem quickly and effectively. Our solutions don't result in building some elaborate device. So, when we say quick fixes, we mean:
  • Quick
  • Simple
  • Effective
We will start with our most straightforward solution to the never-ending wake challenge: The WAKE 10 Ballast Bag.

The Ballast Bag Made Simple

As many boaters know, ballast bags are malleable bags full of water to increase a boat's wake. However, most ballast bags require a pump and can hold a large amount of weight. A ballast bag's purpose is to increase a boat's weight and help improve the wake. Despite these desirable goals, adding another full ballast bag can be a hassle.

So, we made something different instead of creating another standard ballast bag. Our ballast bag is designed to do the following: Dial in the perfect wake
  • Fit in small spaces
  • Easy to fill
  • Save fuel (and money)
  • Durable and leakproof
To start, our ballast bag is smaller than a standard ballast bag. Our bag holds up to fifty pounds of water and is easily filled by dipping it into the lake. Then, as the boat slowly moves, you let the water fill it up.

The bag's design serves to fine-tune a wake that does not call for a standard-sized ballast bag. Instead, this one can fit into small spaces like under boat seats or in small compartments.

In addition, the bag is made of highly durable materials to ensure that it remains intact. The seams are heat welded and feature a leak-tight waterproof zipper. Conveniently, the bag has a carrying handle to make transportation extremely simple.

So, if you want an easy and effective fix for your boat's wake, our ballast bag may be worth the try!

The Wake Shapers: Two Options, Same Result

The wake shaper may be the answer if you are looking for another solution. At WAKE 10, our wakesurf shapers serve to smooth out, lengthen, increase height, and add more defined curls to the wake. In essence, a wake shaper makes the wake much easier to surf. So, whether you are an intermediate wakesurfer or just starting, the wake shaper may be just the right thing to fix your wake.

Our wake shapers attach to the boat via suction cups, so installation is effortless. Because of the suction cup design, boaters can install it either out of the water or on the lake.

To install, place the wakesurf shaper in the desired location and flip the levers down to secure it. Once the wake shaper is locked in place, the wake shaper will not move. However, if it does fall off, our wake shapers come with floating lanyards so you won't lose it while on the water.

Now, let's dive into the differences between our wake shapers.

The WAKE 10 Wakesurf Creator

The Wakesurf Creator is our original standard wake shaper. It is a universal wake shaper that helps you develop a larger and longer surf wave on almost all inboard boats.

The design of the wake shaper is that it is made of a single-body plastic injection mold, which means it is highly durable. In addition, its industrial strength suction cups are made of a mix of rubber and marine-grade hardware. So, the suction cups work exceptionally well.
As for size, the wake shaper is seven and three-quarter inches high, eight inches wide, and twelve and a half inches long.

This is a great option for enhancing your boat's wake. The wedge creates drag and changes the runoff of the wake coming from the boat. So again, this is a quick yet effective way to improve your boat's wake.

The WAKE 10 Wakesurf Creator X4 Pro

Like the standard wake shaper, this wakesurf creator serves as a universal wake shaper to help boaters develop larger and longer surf waves on almost all inboard boats. However, the X4 Pro is also compatible with the following watercraft:
  • MasterCraft X Series
  • MasterCraft MariStar
  • Sanger V Series Boats
The X4 Pro's design is made of a two-piece solid body plastic injection. In addition, its suction cups are made of marine and industrial-grade technology. The wake shaper is eight inches wide, nineteen inches long, and nine inches high — bigger than the standard Wakesurf Creator.

The X4 Pro is another excellent option to help change your wake surfing experience. It is easy to use, install, and again, is a quick and effective way to change your boat's wake.
